New clubhouse plans in 2001 incorporated the bones of the old building built in 1969 for a perceived cost savings. After much research to avoid structural or MEP surprises, the realities of remodel/ expansion projects showed up after the demo work started. Anderson, worked with NCG Architects to creatively design and then to creatively re-design in the field details that were now being compromised by surprises. We recognized the design character we would bring by saving the old beam ceilings in the foyer and bar and requested the architects’ budget for  new sheet rock be used to refinish existing plank and  beams giving the club something to keep from the old clubhouse…. the “ooh & aah” factor upon entry into the Foyer.
