The Ashford Club

Atlanta GA

The original Ashford Club opened in 1984 was Edwardian, typical style of classic gentlemen’s clubs of London. In 2001, the club moved to new Cingular Wireless building. Anderson Plus having worked on the original project was responsible for design of the entire new project- interior architecture, interior design, lighting, etc. Design strategy was to incorporate elements from the old club for the original membership and create a fresh “corporate” look conducive to the tastes of new the hi-tech industry members. Highlights included moving classic columns from the old site; cork flooring in the entry foyer with compass design inlay, and the lobby and wine rooms vaulted ceilings faux finished with gold, silver and copper leaves stenciled using actual native leaves of Georgia.
